Sometimes, seasons really do dictate emotions. This painting was done in a season of apathy. Whenever I think of that word, beiges and neutrals flood my mind. Heavy enough to take up space but light enough to be looked over quickly.

It was important for me to paint with these colors because I usually don’t, just like I usually don’t feel apathetic towards things in my personal life.

I hope you enjoy her. I hope if you are currently in a season of apathy, or have ever been there, that you resonate with her and her bold neutrals.

Apathy is a gallery wrapped 24”x24” canvas with heavy body acrylic paint and a gloss varnish.
